
“Bracketology” is one of my favorite newly minted words. In the world of college basketball, there is no Bowl Championship Series committee, but only the brackets filled with exciting games and Cinderella stories. “Bracketologists” like me from across the country try to predict the March Madness that culminates with the celebration of a national champion.
This year, as part of the 2008 Megachurch Report, the 3:STRANDS Consulting Selection Committee has chosen the Sweet 16 of churches to participate in the first-ever online “church branding competition.” The churches were selected based on the value of a brand demonstrated by their church logo and Web site.
We need you to help by selecting your favorite church brands. The 16 churches (a combination of megachurches and emerging megachurches) have been placed into one of four regional brackets just like the college basketball tournament. This week, there are eight “head-to-head” matchups–just click here to vote for your eight favorite church brands.
The top eight churches, based on your votes, will move onto the Elite Eight where you will vote again online next week to select the Final Four.
